Lee Liang Hong

Liang Hong is a Singaporean professional drummer who performs and teaches the drums regularly. He started playing the drums when he was 13 years old, and first performed at 16 for school events.

Liang Hong joined Singapore Drum Off Competitions in both 2007 and 2008, getting into the semi-finals for both events. From 2009 to 2010, he played for main services in church and followed the team to play for various Christian events held in Penang, Hong Kong and Taiwan.

In 2011, Liang Hong began his first regular gig at Timbre @ Arts House. Since then, Liang Hong has joined and supported various bands such as Afterhours, 3AM and Peep Show in their regular gigs and events. Some highlights include performing with Afterhours for the Year-End Countdown show in 2012 and 2013 respectively, which was broadcasted live on National Television. He currently holds a regular slot on Saturdays with Peep Show (sg) at Wala Wala, playing rock music on a weekly basis.

Besides performing for live events and shows, Liang Hong also has experience in sessions work. He recorded the drums for Jaime Wong’s self-titled EP, which was released in 2015. He also did sessions for a full-length Christian album for children named The Alpha & Omega under Nigel Goh Chiaw Pheng, released in 2016. Both works are currently available on Spotify, iTunes and various online platforms.

In the midst of all the performing and session work, Liang Hong is still a teacher at heart. He started teaching the drums since 2009, and continues to do so to this day, with the goal to share with others the love for music through what he does best, drumming.
