Jovin Lim

Jovin Lim started playing the drums since 2004 and has never stopped since. His interest in the rhythm section began during his secondary school days as the sectional leader of percussion in his schoolʼs symphonic band.

In his tertiary years, he formed indie bands and performed at various local festivals such as Singapore Street Fest (2007), NUS Arts Fest (2008) etc. He also conducted drum workshops in schools (both at secondary & tertiary level) to inspire students to pick up contemporary music.

He sessions for DEON who released 2 albums, Antiphobic (2014) & Oceans (2015), showcasing at various events including Singapore’s Baybeats Festival (2014), Canadian Music Week in Toronto for 3 consecutive years (2013-2015) & International Pop Overthrow Festival (2014) where the band performed at Liverpool’s famous Cavern Club, know for the birth place of The Beatles.

In addition, sharing stage with bands like The Maine (2015 @ St James Powerhouse) & renowned Icelandic band, Of Monsters And Men, at the Hard Rock Coliseum (2016). 

He also plays with the band KINGS, a five-piece musical unit that draws strength from its diversity. The varying influences, experiences and musical backgrounds of its members have brought about an amalgamation of sound that is uniquely KINGS.

Currently, Jovin is actively playing in his church worship team (Hope Singapore) since 2005. Venues include weekly services and church conferences held at the Singapore Indoor Stadium.
